Skiing on MLK Jr. Day

Since Matt had to work, Ash took all three boys plus Spencer's friend skiing in McCall for the day. It was Willy's first day, so we spent the whole day on the bunny hill. Will wanted Mom's help all the time, and Mitchell and Spencer wanted no help at all, so it worked out great. Mitch and Will were wiped out at lunch so they napped on the floor of the lodge, then woke up and skied some more. The guys running the chairlift decided it would be "fun" to make a jump for the kids, so they shovelled some piles of snow, pounded down a ramp, and for the entire afternoon, the boys kept going off it, over and over. It was tiny, but the boys felt pretty cool. Spencer kept saying, "What a dream!" When Mitch saw it, without hesitation he wanted to go off it, too. I don't think he landed it once, but he kept trying. He loved it. It was a really fun day.

  1. Cute pics & video! Plus, how the heck do you ski backwards and hold the camera steady? Nice! :)

  2. What great boys (and Mom)!! We especially loved Willie's video. He did great--hard to believe he's not 4 yet.
You've inspired me. I've begun to set up a blog, but haven't posted yet, and still don't know how to get photos there--but I'll learn.
Tell the boys about funny pub names here--of course, we are very close to the "Tickled Trout", and last week saw the "Pheasant Plucker"!! We'll try to get photos, if we can find it again. I drove for the first time yesterday, and then bumping quite a few curbs (deja-vu), I did okay--I'm even anxious to do it again.
